Palmeiras top Group E with seven points from three matches while Penarol are third with three points.
In other matches on Wednesday, Argentina's San Lorenzo drew 1-1 at Universidad Catolica of Chile and Club Guarani of Paraguay recored a 3-1 home win over Venezuela's Zamora.

LONDON, June 6 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Ambassador to Britain on Tuesday urged his country and Britain to promote film and TV exchanges to step up the bilateral cultural communication.
Liu Xiaoming made the comments at the London Ceremony of 2017 China-UK Film and TV Conference, where he said the film and TV exchanges between China and Britain have become a new highlight of China-UK cooperation.
"The rich cultural resources of China and Britain could be leveraged to step up the development of our creative industries," he told the audience.
The senior official also said that enhanced cultural exchanges will build a new bridge of communication between cultures.
"China-UK relationship is now at its best time in history, as evidenced by the ever-vibrant cooperation in all fields," he said. "The creative industries, the film and TV industry in particular, are fast becoming a new growth point in China-UK cooperation."
Liu called on the two sides to seize the historic opportunities, improve the mechanisms of cooperation and build new platforms.
"We should match up our strengths for win-win results," he said.
Feature films from 31 countries - many of them about the struggles of everyday life and featuring stars such as Richard Gere, James Franco and Dakota Fanning - will be screened at the 14th Tribeca Film Festival.
More than 6,200 films, from countries ranging from Costa Rica and Iceland to Albania and South Africa, were submitted for the festival, which runs from April 15 to 26.

Meadowland, with Olivia Wilde and Luke Wilson, follows the strained relationship of a couple whose son goes missing.
This year's festival will open with the world premiere of Live from New York!, about the NBC late night comedy sketch show Saturday Night Live.
Films in the documentary competition include Havana Motor Club, about drag racers preparing for a race in Cuba, and In Transit, which travels America's busiest long-distance train route from Chicago to Seattle.
